Serving Alachua, Bradford, Levy, Gilchrist, Union, Marion, Putnam, and Clay Counties
I am a 1973 Graduate of the University of Florida College of Law and hold a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Florida as well. I am a lifetime resident of Gainesville, Florida, where my parents and maternal grandfather worked as professors at the University of Florida and Santa Fe Community College.
I obtained board certification in 1992 through a program established by the Florida Supreme Court. I have been board certified in marital and family law continuously for over 19 years. My practice is specifically designed to administer family law cases.
My support staff includes Sharon Chase and Deborah Valdes, who have worked closely with me for over 19 years. Sharon and Deborah assist clients to obtain swift administration of their cases.
I obtained certification in collaborative law in February 2006. After years of working with the assistance of expert witnesses, including accountants, a vocational rehabilitation specialist, mental health professionals, mediators, and property appraisers, I recognized the benefits of team approach to resolving complex family law cases.
In May 2006, I was instrumental in forming the Gainesville Collaborative Divorce Team. Having been certified as a collaborative divorce lawyer, I sought out other professionals in Alachua County to also receive collaborative divorce training and made arrangements for the first team to be trained in Sarasota, Florida. Gainesville now has one of the most active groups of certified collaborative professionals in the State of Florida.
I offer my services in Alachua County, Bradford County, Levy County, Gilchrist County, and Union County and other locations throughout the State of Florida such as Marion County, Putnam County and Clay County.
